“Historically, we didn’t have a lot of tech on our boats and things were kept really simple. Now we’re able to replicate critical info back and forth and stay in contact with our crew wherever they are. This is critical to our operation both in the safety of our crews and the uptime of our vessels. It really helps to know what’s on board in order to prepare the sales & supply chain teams so they know what’s there to sell. Our IT infrastructure has to work 24/7. Our very existence relies upon it.”

Our latest project with Sanford was a complex migration, which involved moving Sanford off their current provider’s Hosted Firewall and Managed WAN onto a new Hosted Firewall. This positioned them for a migration to SD WAN including multi data centre BGP peering with the new partner.
“I’m dealing with people who have experience with our software and hardware. BTG helped us with a recent internet migration. They’d used these products, they know what they can do. The migration from the existing provider was seamless. There was no downtime in our scheduled business hours. Everything stayed up and was usable. It’s really key that we keep systems available for our staff to use.”
